In chapter 4, it says, “...what came out of this small act captured the interest and attention of the world, making it possible to multiply the effects of Operation Little Vittles a thousandfold.” Why do you think so many people in the world were interested in this operation?

I think people were interested in Operation Little Vittles because it was something people could feel good about, and help make happen. The war was over but that didn't mean things were easy. Also, I think adults knew that growing up during war time was something children shouldn't have to experience. The parachutes showed that someone cared, and lots of people wanted to do that. Less violence, more happiness for everyone.
