One woman who wrote to Lt. Halvorsen said, “Chocolate can’t be bought even with money.” Why was it so valuable? Is there anything you own that is so valuable you wouldn’t sell it?

Chocolate was valuable because they stopped making it. Chocolate wasn't necessary for the war. Only necessary things were being made. I would never sell my puppy Cooper, ever.

Chocolate was rare and expensive because nobody had it. There is nothing I would never sell if it could help someone.
